The 7th book in the original Babar series is sort of an anomaly - one of few that goes with a more simple and cheerful tradition of sharing a good holiday-themed tale. Also, this book connects Babar's own world of talking, civilized animals more to the human world in ways which go beyond conforming to it and instead showing the unity of celebration and how holidays are universal.4/5.
